Indo-Portuguese cuisine for the first time at the Garrison Night Market. What's Indo-Portuguese cuisine? The Portuguese ruled Goa (now a state in India) for over 450 years until 1961. Their influence on the local cuisine resulted in Indo-Portuguese (Indian x Portuguese) cuisine, also known as Goan cuisine. Have you heard of vindaloo? Goa is the birth place of the vindaloo, and hence vindaloo is the best representation of the cuisine. We might also have some vegetarian Indian food.
